Common Questions
When is the EIF REVLON Run/Walk, and where is it being held?
The 17th Annual EIF REVLON Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park. Donation Drop-Off and On-Site Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. The Celebrity Opening Ceremony begins at 8:00 a.m. and is followed by the Run at 8:45 a.m. and the Walk at 9:00 a.m.
How far is the EIF REVLON Run/Walk?
The course is 5 kilometers (or 3.1 miles). Shuttles are provided along the Run/Walk Route if you are unable to complete the course.
What is included in the registration fee?
A $30 registration fee is required for all participants over the age of 12 years old. The registration fee is non-refundable and is not tax-deductible. The registration fee helps to cover the costs associated with registration materials and registration processing. The registration fee is not included in the event’s fundraising total. Each registrant will receive an EIF REVLON Run/Walk t-shirt and goodie bag. Beginning April 26th, the registration fee increases to $35. On-event registration will be $35.
Do I have to fundraise or collect donations?
Fundraising is the most crucial part of this event! Collected donations allow us to continue the fight against women’s cancers. In order to continue our support of vital research and community programs, we need donations to fund these critical programs. While fundraising is not required, we ask each participant to set a fundraising goal – $250, $750, $1,250 or more – and to do whatever they can to raise as much money for the cause as possible. Please note that all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; however, registration fees are not tax-deductible and do not qualify toward fundraising award eligibility. Neither registration fees nor donations are refundable.
To show our appreciation of the donations you raise, we are offering fundraising incentive awards at various levels, beginning at $250. To qualify for awards, all donations must be received by 5 pm PST on Friday, June 11, 2010. Check out the raise funds section for more information about building your own fundraising page and setting your fundraising award goal.
Where does the donation money go?
The donations you raise will support cutting-edge women's cancers research, help provide diagnostic treatment services for medically under-served women, and deliver psycho-social services and financial support to women with cancer and their families. Click here for more information on the 2010 Beneficiaries.
Where do I turn in donation money?
Donations may be mailed before and after the event, or turned in the day of the Run/Walk at the designated drop-off areas. Be sure that your name and BIB number are included on each envelope for tracking purposes — and that you keep a copy of your completed donation form(s) or your records. Donations must be received on or before June 11, 2010, to be eligible for fundraising awards. Company matches are ineligible for individual award consideration.
If mailed, send to:

How do we celebrate cancer survivors at the event?
In proud support of the many survivors who will be joining us, we invite all cancer survivors to pick up a special Survivor Cap from the Survivor Booth at the Health Expo on event day. All cancer survivors are also invited to join us for special commemorative cancer survivor photographs at the Survivor Hospitality Tent on the field of the Coliseum after the race.
What are tribute signs and where can I get them?
Tribute signs are worn in memory or support of loved ones and can be picked up at various locations on the day of the event. We invite survivors to wear their very own tribute sign proclaiming their number of years as a survivor. Visit the Downloads section to customize and print out your tribute sign before race day.
Where do I get my t-shirt and goodie bag?
Participants can pick up their Run/Walk t-shirt prior to the event at designated pre-event pick-up locations (stay tuned for further details). The t-shirt can also be picked up on event day either before or after the race. If you need a small, medium, or XX-Large, we suggest picking your t-shirt up early as we tend to run out of those sizes most quickly. The goodie bag is available at the Run/Walk before or after the race.
Will there be refreshments?
Light snacks will be available both before and after the race. Water will be provided throughout the event.
Will our time be recorded at the finish line?
Yes. Each registered participant’s time will be recorded. Times are posted to the website 72 hours after the event is concluded.
How do you track each participant?
Each participant, whether running or walking, will receive a runner ID number, also referred to as a BIB number, to wear on the day of the event. This number helps identify each participant for recording finish times and fundraising totals.
What if it rains on May 8th?
The EIF REVLON Run/Walk will take place, rain or shine.
May I bring young children to the Run/Walk? Do they have to pay the registration fee?
Yes! Children are welcome. To receive an event t-shirt, goodie bag and refreshments, the entry fee must be paid.
May I bring a stroller?
Yes, you may bring a stroller. However, in an effort to keep all participants safe, it is essential that all strollers line up in the back of the crowd for the start of the race. For children to receive an event gift bag/t-shirt and refreshments, a registration fee must be paid. Please note: the finish line is inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and requires climbing many stairs to exit.
May I bring a bike? Roller blades? Scooter? Pets?
No. For your safety as well as that of all participants, bikes, scooters and roller blades are not permitted at the event. Pets are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs.
Where do I park on the day of the event?
See the section on Directions & Parking for more information.
